Italian nightclubs... mildly traumatizing, but...
Somehow I managed to find the attractive, non-groping Italians (awesome), unlike my friends… But finally we met some Hungarians who were polite, hilarious, and fun to dance with.
Free shot upon entry = fantastic.
Almost getting tricked into paying 50 euros upon exit… not so much.
Overall: success.

Our neighbor is AWESOME.
He came out with his dog, Nello, who is this beautiful white dog, and we pet her for awhile. He sells art books in the square, and brought us bars of chocolate! Haha, he’s so great.
We definitely owe the two of them dog treats & cookies! Hooray friends!
Also,
EVERYONE HAS A PRADA BAG.
1st [Legitimate] Day in Italy!
Orientation. All. Day.
I walked approximately 10 miles, and couldn’t hear the guide anyways b/c the sidewalks are too narrow to huddle around her. And I’m a slow walker, which means I was stuck in the back.
I have SO much to buy, which is rather exchange-rate-painful, but I guess I need school books.
Aand a belt, and Skype credit, and a coat. AND SLEEP.

In Florence!
Aah I can’t believe it’s real. Kierst & I are in our awesome apartment with dysfunctional utilities & centuries-old family heirlooms. We have a clothes line that stretches along our 3-story-high outside wall. Good times!
Despite disdainful looks from fashionable Italians, I’m determined to get into the city center & get me a coat & some boots! It’s...

I adore stars. The field in between my flat & the rest of campus is the best place to stop & stare. I wonder how they’ll be in Italy…
Ohhbama.
Watching your address makes me feel like I need a drink.
I used to have so much faith in people.
I never could’ve imagined so much would change in 1.5 semesters.
Friends lost, lies, theft. Everything bad this year has come from people close to me. (Or from someone with access to my flat.) Gah, I’m naive.
Apologies for the depressing post. Between lost papers & my stolen peacoat & the stress of leaving for 3 months, I’m a little emotionally drained.
why would you steal my peacoat?
I’m leaving for Italy TOMORROW, and there is literally 2 suitcases & a peacoat in my room. And you stole my $200 peacoat that I just got in the mail for Christmas that I haven’t worn yet…
Awesome, because Europe’s going to be so cheap anyways.
everything's gone!
just chillin’ with my laptop & 2 suitcases. this is a weird feeling.
